“Barry and I have known each other for almost twenty years,” says Horth. “Factora was delighted to secure Barry’s services as V.P. Sales and Marketing in 2017, and we are even more delighted to have him as our CEO. Barry has a deep knowledge of manufacturing, tremendous energy and an innate inclination towards what’s next. He has a natural leadership mindset that readily adopts new ideas and can visualize where they will take us.”
“One of the main reasons I joined Factora was the chance to work with Charles,” says Lynch. “Charles Horth is a true gentleman of our industry, not to mention a realistic prophet. His blend of integrity and business acumen is unique, and it has created a unique organization.”
As Chairman of the Board and founder, Horth will support the efforts of the new team and take responsibility for strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, and continue his work to keep the Factora culture intact. Factora’s culture, shaped and driven by Brigitte Lepage, VP Culture and Organizational Development, is regarded internally and externally as Factora’s secret weapon.
Lynch’s focus will continue to be growth: growth in customer profitability, delivering on the promise of the IIoT platform, and growth for the Factora team, in both numbers and development. All this will result in continued stability and revenue growth.
“A CEO’s first job is to build the next A team to receive the baton,” says Horth. “It’s been 23 years since Brigitte and I started Factora. Since then we’ve delivered state-of-the-art manufacturing systems to over 500 plants in 30 countries. Three years ago, I began building the leadership team that would take Factora to the next level. Now with Brent Seely (CiNO), Paul Gloutnez (CFO) and Barry, I’m privileged to pass the baton. I would like to offer a special thanks to Brigitte, who has been a critical element in our success from day one and to Brent, who was instrumental in the success of the merger with SlimSoft a few years ago.”
“When I was with GE, Factora was the company whose name always came up when a big client had a tough problem,” says Lynch. “I always wondered how Factora managed to make it real for customers – now I know! I am proud to be leading this team, as we guide manufacturers around the world on the journey to Industry 4.0. I would like to thank Charles for making Factora what it is today and trusting me to take on the challenge of leading Factora. It’s going to be a very exciting time.”
